(This is an archived post from our wordpress, originally posted January 26, 2019.)
We have a lot of updates for the new year, starting with a new site! You can still access all of our archives at https://columbanhouse.blogspot.com/ but we will also be moving select posts over so that you can enjoy them in the new format.
We are also pivoting to a new approach to content. In stead of weekly reflections, we will be posting to the blog with updates and ideas as they arise. But we are most excited about our new initiative, the Society for Academic Reform, a newsletter and network for discussing the philosophy of higher education, cultural criticism, and how we can work to renew the academy.
We have made a brochure which you can see here. We will be sending this out to friends and colleagues we believe are interested, and we hope that you will feel free to download it and print it out or email it to anyone you know who is concerned about the state of public discourse, academics, and how they relate to culture and ecology.
Our hope is that this newsletter will be a place not only for us to share our ideas, but to enter into a dialogue with others doing similar work, and with the interested public at large. To that end, we invite submissions of all kinds from our readers.
We are glad you’re joining us on this journey and we hope that it will lead to a long and productive conversation.
In the Grace of God,
The Fellowship of St Columbanus
