We have started a new initiative at the Fellowship of St Columbanus. Our mission is about education and encouraging public discourse, so we have decided to throw open the gates to all questions about things Catholic. Whether you are a Catholic seeking answers to specific questions about your own faith, or a non-Catholic who is seeking to understand Catholicism.
This initiative was inspired by our friend Rachel, a Protestant, who first wrote to me because she could not find satisfactory answers to many of her questions about Catholicism online, and asked if I could take some time to answer them. In the spirit of Rachel's questions, we want to be a resource to people looking for good, well-researched answers of the kind the internet doesn't usually supply. So we will not just be answering your questions in the shortest way possible, we want to give you a deeper understanding, show you our sources, and maybe even point you to some further reading in case you want to follow up.

We are happy to answer questions on Catholic theology, Bible, Church history, art, architecture, political theory, literature, and a variety of other topics. So you know who you're asking and why we're qualified to answer your questions, let me briefly introduce you to the team:
Matthew has a Ph.D. in Old Testament and a B.A. in linguistics.
Francois has a Ph.D. in political philosophy.
Evan has a Master's in theology and postgraduate certificate in theopoetics.
Matt has a Master's in medieval literature and a postgraduate certificate in English. He has also been accepted to a PhD program in medieval history.
Jared has a Master's and S.T.L. in Moral Theology, and is finishing his Ph.D. in Political Theology.
Olivia is an extremely talented artist (you can see some of her work on our website), and is soon to graduate with a Master's in Theology and the Arts.
We also have a host of friends with other expertise on whom we will call for guest posts if needed.
To ask your questions, go to our Contact page linked below, fill it out, and we will get back to you as promptly as possible. We will write a full blog entry in response, and post both the question and answer here (anonymously, if you prefer), and send you the link. The blog will then be shared in case others have similar questions and would like to hear the answer.
We are excited to hear your questions and give you the best answers we can.
Pax Christi, The Fellows of St Columbanus
